4 Dream Subclasses for 5e

Sleep is somewhere you can actually go, as far as these four are concerned. They found different doors in, and they play very differently once they're through.

COLLEGE OF LULLABIES (bard) sings cradle songs on a battlefield. One action shields your side and slows theirs. The heart of the college is Refrain, which hands failed Inspiration dice back to the bard, so the table gets out of the habit of hoarding them.

WAY OF THE SLEEPWALKER (monk) moves the way people move in dreams, past terrain and through crowds and eventually past gravity. For one Focus Point it can also soften enemies up for the party's big spells.

THE DREAM-THIEF (rogue) steals tempo during a fight and memories after one. From 13th level a whole dream can come out as a glass bead to look at, plant somewhere else, or keep, though keeping them tends to get the sleeping world's attention.

THE DREAMING COURT (warlock patron) is basically employment. A parliament of dreams hands out errands, the spell list is full of control, and at 14th level a summons offers its target an audience or terms.
